 Protective supervision hours will be provided for up to 195 hours per month or 283 hours, depending on the severity of the impairment and the person's IHSS program.

The purpose of this program is to allow the consumers to live safely at home for as long as possible without moving to a costly out-of-home placement facility. Services provided by IHSS are based on need and could include:

1. Domestic services such as cleaning, meal preparation and running errands
2. Personal care services such as grooming, bathing, and bowel and bladder needs
3. Transportation to medical services
4. Protective Supervision
